[Crafty Hour] Underwater Magic: Aquarium Shadow Box

Show us your latest projects, work on a cutting and enjoy the conversation with paper enthusiasts the world over. Crafty Hour is a monthly gathering FREE to Guild of American Papercutters (GAP) Members.

Date: August 10, 2025 (Sunday)
Time: 11:00am PT; 12:00pm MT; 1:00pm CT; 2:00pm ET; 7:00pm London time

Theme: Underwater Magic – Aquarium Shadow Box
Suggested Materials:

• Blue paper (for background)
• Colored paper (for sea creatures)
• Scissors or craft knife
• Glue stick
• Shoebox or cardstock to create a box frame (optional)

Suggested Output: Design a miniature paper aquarium with layers of fish, seaweed, and coral. This papercut project can also be done in a shadow box that will bring the ocean to life through a 3D layered effect.
